Created as one giant sheet of clay, then cut apart into custom pieced tiles before the clay dries.

Bees were sprigged on using custom molds created just for this backsplash.  A luscious earthenware honey glaze was used to emphasize the bees and represent the sweetness of life.

These light fixtures will be hung in front of the sink in the same kitchen.

This wet bar backsplash was a blast to create! Mr. Morgan gave Diana free reign to create the most outrageous backsplash in San Antonio. She is confident that she accomplished that task. There is a little Alamo scene on the left, drunken bar scene in the center, and he and his friends personified (or would it be muertofied?) in their many travels to Mexico on the right. Mr. Morgan has an awesome folkart collection that chronicles his love of all things Mexican. His collection gave much inspiration for the project.

In addition to original works, which Diana designs, sculpts, and installs, she will also take on projects that require recreating historic pieces of architectural elements and tiles. She can reverse engineer specific glazes and has performed work for a number of historic structures, including work on the beehive dome of the Bexar County courthouse, and O'Neil Ford's historic home on the San Antonio River.
